The Role

NetConstruct is looking for an energetic and enthusiastic Designer with the ambition and appetite to grow and develop within a fast-paced growing company.  This is a key role within a close-knit team, there is huge potential to further develop skills, expertise and career for the right candidate.

You will be part of a creative team made up of visual design, UX research, UX developers and content strategists to deliver creative solutions at NetConstruct.

You will be focused on delivering exciting web projects for B2B and B2C websites, ecommerce and bespoke applications.

 

Responsibilities

Duties will include but are not limited to:

  • Creative design, concepts and amends for website and associated digital projects
  • Weave iconography, typography, colour, space, and texture together to help our users successfully navigate client sites
  • Create a look which encompasses our clients’ brand and ethos whilst ensuring the website is pleasing to users
  • Harness user-centered design principles to produce high-quality visuals — from concept to execution — across many platforms
  • Use our UX research outputs to inspire and inform design decisions
  • Advise on on-site interaction features to inform the experience of the designs you create
  • Use motion design to help tell a product’s story, guide our users, improve usability, and make our users’ experiences responsive and delightful
  • Communicate effectively in a cross-functional creative team and present ideas and designs effectively
  • Present the user interface visually so information is easy to read, easy to understand and easy to find
  • Continuously improve client sites by maintaining a cycle of reviewing and suggesting ways to improve web presence and user experience
  • Assisting the team in developing more efficient or effective processes to deliver high quality work on time and within budget
  • Building and maintaining positive relationships with clients, understand their business, recommend appropriate digital solutions.

 

Person Specification

Key Qualifications and Attributes:

 

  • BA/BS degree in Design (e.g., interaction, graphic, visual communications, product, industrial), HCI, CS, or a related field or equivalent practical experience.
  • 2 years of experience in a related field
  • Experience collaborating with multidisciplinary UX and/or product teams (motion, interaction, UX research, engineering, UX writer) on technical implementation
  • Experience implementing visual design systems.
  • Proficient with industry standard design tools (e.g. XD, Photoshop, Illustrator, InVision, Sketch).
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and familiarity with technical constraints and limitations as they apply to designing for platforms such as desktop and mobile, Androia and iOS.
  • Proven ability to act as a leader in communicating conceptual ideas and design rationale, all within a user-centered design process.
  • Must be self-motivated to prioritise and manage workload and meet critical project deadlines.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to build good working relationships.
